Three members of the North Platte Community College men's basketball team have received postseason honors from the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference.
Freshman German Plotnikov, of Minsk, Belarus, was tied at the top of the voting and was named to the NCCAC All-Conference First Team, and freshman Trevon Dennis, of Paris, Texas, was named to the NCCAC All-Conference Second Team. Jevarrick Butler, a freshman from Cleveland, Texas, received an honorable mention.
Plotnikov was also named to the second team for All-Region IX which includes 13 Division I teams in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. He was fourth out of the 18 players who earned this recognition.
Plotnikov played in 19 games for the Knights this season, averaging 22.7 points, the best for the team, and 4.4 rebounds per game. He shot 48.8 percent from the floor, 27.3 percent from three-point range and 84.5 percent at the free throw line.
Dennis played in 19 games, averaging 10.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He shot 45 percent from the floor, 29 percent from three-point range and 55.9 percent at the free throw line.
Butler played in 19 games, averaging 11.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He shot 44.4 percent from the floor, 40.2 percent from three-point range and 70.8 percent at the free throw line.
The NPCC team won the 2021 conference championship and finished the season with a record of 7-13.
The Knights have been champions or co-champions in 15 of the past 17 years.
