  Larry Dean Reynolds, age 77 of North Platte, was peacefully swept away to Heaven on September 1, 2023, by his sister "Glory" on her birthday. Larry, the son of Bonnie and Scoop Reynolds, attended Roosevelt Elementary and Adams Middle School until the 9th grade.  When he was 16 he started his dream of being a cowboy at the Pawnee Springs Ranch in Maxwell.  With this being his passion, Larry went on to work for Kewitt and Sons on several ranches including the Britton, North Ranch, and Pawnee Springs, until the mid 80's when he left the ranch. Larry married Janet Groff in 1966 and to this union sons, Patrick and Obern "Cody", were born.  With his cowboy days behind him, Larry moved to Lexington for a career at IBP and he went on to work until retiring in 2010 from Tyson Inc.  He and Janet returned to North Platte to be closer to the family and he found joy in a part-time job with the City of North Platte Sanitation Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, and their son, Obern "Cody" Reynolds; his parents, Bonnie and Scoop; sister, Gloria "Glory" Fuller; granddaughter, Chantel; and other family and his many furry friends.
Larry is survived by his sisters, Penny Kramer (Bill) and Belle Gard; brother, Lonnie Reynolds; son, Patrick Reynolds; granddaughters, Alaina, Tori and Brooke; grandsons, Bryce, Brandon and Anthony; and several great-grandchildren. Survivors also include his nephews, Bill and Tom Fuller (Lori), Dan, Tim and Robin Gard and Taylor Skala (Rabecca); special great-nephews, Chance and Kade Fuller and Gunnar Herndon; niece, Alisha Herndon (Todd);special great-niece, Macy Fuller; special family and friends including Terry Keslar, Laura Sexson (Milt), Elaine Stubbs, Joyce Butler and Dewey and Michelle McVea; and many other family and friends. Services will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, at Odean Colonial Chapel and please wear your Western wear.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery at Sutherland.  Visitation is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
