Area Sports: Maxwell hires new Varsity Volleyball coach

Maxwell Public Schools would like to announce that Lori Mau has accepted the position of head volleyball coach.  Mau previously served as the head coach at Maxwell from 2008 to 2015.  During her tenure at Maxwell, she accumulated a record of 86-89.  Her final year as head coach, Maxwell finished with a 22-8 record.  Coach Mau has spent the past 6 seasons as an assistant coach for North Platte Community College.  “I look forward to bringing the knowledge that I have gained working with Coach McCall at the college back to Maxwell and instilling it in our players.”

Mrs. Mau is the K-12 school counselor.  She has been in this position for 5 years and has been in the Maxwell school system for the past 13 years.  

Lori Mau is taking over for Gina Sommer who was Maxwell’s volleyball coach the previous 6 years.
