Feryn Elaine Wiede, age 39, of Omaha, NE, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Bergan Mercy Hospital.
She was born January 31, 1986 to Jeffery and Katherine (Williams) Wiede in Jourdanton, TX.
Feryn grew up in Texas before moving to North Platte, where she graduated from North Platte High School. After school, she worked at Great Plains Health Pavillion before moving to Omaha. There she worked for the Performing Arts Entertainment Renters as a bartender for seven of their venues. To keep energized, Feryn was sure to visit Starbucks every single morning. She loved the coffee and got to the point she knew each barista by name. Outside of her work life, Feryn loved to travel. Seeing new sites and having new experiences enriched her life greatly.
Of course, the most important thing to Feryn was her family. She was a self-proclaimed daddy’s girl, doing everything with her dad. They worked on cars, mowed lawns, and even put up miles of fence on the family ranch together. She was also an excellent Godmother to James “Jimby” Baez. She will be remembered for her ornery spirit, but loving heart. Even in death, she touched many lives, saving others through her organ donation to Live-On Nebraska.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents Jeff and Kathy of North Platte; step-brother Jedediah Lewis of North Platte; uncles Gary Ping and Bobby Wiede of Texas; aunt Valarie Craig of Texas; grandma Madelin Dragoo; grandpa Robert Lindsey; grandparents Ron and Judy Roberts; sisters-of-the-heart Robin Schnieder, Libby Baez, and Julie Power (Tacha); godson James Baez; and special friend Micheal Duckworth of Omaha.
She is preceded in death by her mom Katherine, grandma Berth Lindsey, and grandpa Kenneth R. Dragoo Sr.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Ramsey officiating. Burial will occur at a later date. A book signing will be held Tuesday, January 27 from 12 to 7 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
