Winter will show itself significantly for the first time this weekend in North Platte and the surrounding area.
A large winter storm is expected to bring four to six inches of snow to the North Platte area beginning Saturday night through Sunday.
Forecasters have issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7:00 pm on Saturday until 7:00 am on Monday.
Some areas could see up to eight inches of snow.
