North Platte woman arrested on numerous narcotics charges after lab results returned

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-A North Platte woman has been arrested on suspicion of numerous narcotics possession charges.

On January 18, 2020, Officers responded to the 3200 Block of South Newberry for suspicious people walking around vehicles.

Upon arrival, Officers made contact with 29-year-old Kelby Pierce and 32-year-old Josiah Negley. Officers spoke with both subjects and learned that Negley had several warrants out for his arrest. Negley was placed under arrest at this time.

According to police, Officers learned that one of Negley's warrants was a Federal Indictment for possession of 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. Officers also learned that Negley was still believed to be involved with the distribution of narcotics.

With this information, police say Officers located Pierce's vehicle in the parking lot. A Nebraska State Patrol K9 assisted with the investigation and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and a search warrant was later granted and executed. During the search of the vehicle, Officers located prescription pills and several suspected narcotics.

The suspected narcotics were sent to the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab for testing.

On June 11, 2020, the lab results confirmed that the narcotics located were identified as LSD, cocaine, mushrooms, ecstasy, methamphetamine and ketamine.

On June 26, 2020, Officers made contact with Pierce at the Police Department. Pierce was placed under arrest for the narcotics allegations.

Pierce was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Jail for numerous counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
