Jackie Louise (Pahl) Lashley died at peace on January 8, 2021 at the age of 71. She was born on September 22, 1949 to Dr. Benjamin H. Pahl and Eula (Billie) Louise Warehime Pahl in Kearney, Nebraska where she attended school. On January 3, 1970 she was united in marriage to Michael G. Lashley and to this union two children were born: Benjamin Allen and Amy Jo. Her family moved to North Platte, Nebraska in March of 1973 and Jackie was a stay-at-home mom.
Through the years, she enjoyed working at Whitaker Furniture, Century 21 Wilkinson Agency, Chamber of Commerce, and retired in 2015 from Commercial Investment Services Stefka Agency.
Jackie’s college education was interrupted by marriage and children, but she always believed education was important. While working full time, married with two teenagers at home, she took classes and graduated in 1991, from the last graduating class of Kearney State College before it became UNK.
Jackie enjoyed attending plays and shopping with friends, traveling, playing golf and bridge, dogs, and yard work. Most of all, she enjoyed watching her son and daughter grow, marry and become contributing members of this community while being a good example to their children.
Jackie attended many churches beginning and ending with the Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher and on the church councils. She believed in salvation through Jesus.
Jackie was a founding member of Chapter HO in P.E.O. She cherished this sisterhood and counted it’s members among her oldest and closest friends.
She was preceded by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Jon Welty.
She is survived by her children, Ben (Libby) Lashley, Amy (Brian) Johnston; grandchildren, Morgan, Maggie, and Maya Lashley, Skyler and River Johnston; Gil Wilkinson, his siblings, sons, and their families who so warmly welcomed Jackie into their family; one sister, Bobbie Welty and her boys and their families in Tennessee; and many good friends.
