North Platte, Neb. – North Platte High Schools Head Volleyball Coach Clancy Hammond announced today that she would immediately step down as the NPHS Head Volleyball Coach. Mrs. Hammond shared that she needed to step away from her role with the team due to personal responsibilities.
Jimmie Rhodes, Director of NPHS Activities, stated that he appreciates the support Mrs. Hammond has provided to the team this year and wishes her the best. Additionally, he added, ‘after meeting with the coaching staff; we have decided to complete the year with our current staff sharing co-leadership responsibility. Rhodes shared, ‘coaches Blake and Frey will serve as Interim Co-Head Coaches for the remainder of the 2022 volleyball season.’
North Platte Public Schools would like to thank Coach Hammond for her work with the volleyball team. Additionally, we would like to thank Coaches Blake and Frey for stepping in to lead our teams for the remainder of this season.
