Charles Robinson, age 75, of North Platte, NE passed away January 30, 2022, at the Azria Health Home in Sutherland, NE.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Garfield Table Cemetery west of Arnold, NE with Pastor Irv Jennings officiating. Charles Eugene Robinson was born in Arnold, NE to Ruth (Essex) and Howard Robinson on February 14, 1946. Charles was raised on the Garfield Table west of Arnold, where he attended Garfield primary school. He attended Arnold High School and married Sharon Zimmerman of Lexington, NE in 1964. They had three children during their 13-years of marriage. Charles spent much of his life as an over-the-road truck driver and enjoyed bringing his children along for the ride each Summer. He also owned and operated a lawn care business in Arnold. His spare time was spent singing Karaoke (he had quite a following in the North Platte area), reading, and attending car and motorcycle races.
Charles is survived by his children Stephanie (Jason) Reed of Arnold, NE, Brenda (Richard) Rosenblatt of Omaha, NE and Charles Robinson, Jr of Denver, CO; sister Margaret Tillett (Ken) of Fort Myers, FL and brother Wayne Robinson of North Platte, NE; grandchildren Ashley Nansel and Haley Reed of Arnold, NE, Madison Reed of Kearney, NE, Joshua and Elena Rosenblatt of Omaha, NE; a great grandson Carter Nansel of Arnold; two nephews, and three nieces.
