The Wreaths Across America event will be held on December 19th at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. The goal of the event is to place a live, balsam fir wreath at the headstone of every veteran buried at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, to spread patriotism and ensure no one is forgotten. Lee Bird Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol is helping to support this event by promoting sponsorships/donations for wreaths.
Tom Moore, Squadron Commander, is asking people to sponsor wreaths for veterans’ headstones at the cemetery. Wreaths are needed for hundreds of headstones. The cost of each wreath is only $15.
