That was the message on twitter McCook fans saw around lunchtime on Dec 9th. It seemingly came out of nowhere with little warning. Head Coach Jeff Gross, who had been at the helm for 23 years was stepping aside.

38 game winning streak (still longest in Class B)
He has been a staple of McCook Bison football, Class B football, and Nebraska football. Gross has said he will continue his duties as principal for the time being.
