WCDHD officials move Community Risk Dial up, risk remains elevated

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-The COVID-19 Community Risk Dial moved from a 2.0 up to a 2.12 this week, according to the West Central District Health Department, which remains within the elevated risk level.

Officials say there were changes in the following variables that contributed to the movement in the dial:

We had decreases in the following (please reference the WCDHD risk dial website page for additional information):

1. Measure ID R6: Ventilator Availability
2. Measure ID R11: Individuals Affected

We had an increase in the following:

1. Measure ID R1: Positivity Rate (Weekly)
2. Measure ID R2: Trajectory of Cases
3. Measure ID R7: Community Spread

WCDHD says Your partnership and collaboration in identifying close contacts is significant in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, bringing our community to a lower risk of spread.
