North Platte residents should expect changes to garbage service and transfer station hours for the Labor Day holiday.
The City of North Platte’s refuse collection and offices will be closed Monday, September 7. There will be no garbage collection Monday.
Residents should have their garbage carts in place by 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, to avoid being missed.
The city reminds residents that all garbage must be bagged and placed inside city-provided containers, with lids fully closed. Bags or trash should not be left on the ground.
The North Platte Transfer Station will also be closed Monday. It will reopen Tuesday with regular hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
