Winter weather will be making its return to Nebraska this week, the National Weather Service in North Platte warned.
Lincoln County was added to the winter storm watch area Monday afternoon.
There is a slight chance of snow after midnight Tuesday, increasing to a 70 percent chance of snow by Wednesday. Winds will pick up Wednesday, with sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph and gusts up to 30 mph.
Snow and blustery conditions will continue through Wednesday night. Skies will clear Thursday, the NWS said, but the daytime high will drop to the single digits and the overnight low is expected to be well below zero.
