Families 1st Partnership press release
Families 1st Partnership invites community members to the quarterly collaborative meeting to be held on Thursday February 27, 2025 from 1-3 pm at MidPlains Community College, 1101 Halligan Drive, Room 202-204.
A highlight for the meeting will be a presentation on FindHelp, the localized service and information directory for West Central./SW NE. Information presented will focus on the benefits for local organizations to create a profile. The data that is generated from FindHelp is in “real time” as it is based on the current searches by help seekers.
Findhelp is such a powerful resource because it’s zip-code-based, making it accessible and useful for community members, partners, and service agencies—completely free of charge. Unlike other platforms, Findhelp is focused on the help seeker. It doesn’t belong to just one agency or depend on all agencies using it to succeed. However, the more people and organizations that participate, the stronger and more community-driven it becomes.
The meeting will also include updates from active workgroups and some time to identify current gaps, needs, and barriers in access to services.
Families 1st Partnership receives grant funding from Nebraska Children and Families Foundation., the NE Child Abuse Prevention Fund Board, DHHS, and private donors. Since it became a 501c3 organization in November 2018, financial assistance to local residents has resulted in $774,456 paid to local landlords, utility companies, childcares, mechanics, and other businesses. $52,358 has been used to support Trainings and Collaborative Outreach in promoting services of local organizations. There has been $363,567 for contracts that provide direct and indirect services to local families and at risk youth.
Please RSVP to participate in this meeting.
