Theresa Fhuere of Edgar, NE, unexpectedly passed away at Bryan Health in Lincoln on December 29, 2023, at the age of 55.
Theresa, the daughter of Victor and Shelia Derman, was born in Kearney on May 28, 1968. She grew up in Arnold then moved to North Platte where she graduated from North Platte High School and attended Mid Plains Community College for a year. Theresa worked at various fast food restaurants, including Kentucky Fried Chicken.
In July of 1990, Theresa married Kevin Fhuere in North Platte. They lived in North Platte for a while then moved around Nebraska and lived in Sutherland, Central City, Henderson, Bradshaw then Edgar.
Theresa was baptized in the Church of Christ. She was an avid, hard-core reader and she liked quilting and making afghans for family and friends. Theresa loved watching and walking her dogs and she loved her family, she was always there for her sons. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shelia Streeter; and her son, Al Fhuere.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kevin; her father and stepmother, Victor and MaryLou Derman of North Platte; sons, Jeffrey of Omaha, Hunter of Edgar, and Andrew (Falicia) Fhuere of Kalamazoo, MI; grandson, Carson Fhuere; siblings, Jim Derman and Vicky Cline of North Platte; stepsisters, T.C. (Tim) of Broken Bow and Susie (Chad) of Paxton; and many other family.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kem Reeder officiating. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to services at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
