A semi-trailer hauling gummy bears caught fire early Tuesday morning along Interstate 80 in Lincoln County.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene around 3:55 a.m. on April 7 near mile marker 166. When they arrived, the trailer was already fully engulfed in flames.

Authorities say the driver was able to separate the truck from the burning trailer before the fire spread further.

The trailer was loaded with gummy bears, and officials confirmed there was no hazardous material risk.

Fire crews from the Hershey and Sutherland Volunteer Fire Departments responded quickly, working to contain a nearby grass fire and extinguish the burning trailer.

No injuries were reported.
