North Platte, NE: NebraskaLand Bank is proud to announce the success of its employee-led service project initiative, The Project [Blank], in celebration of our 25th anniversary. Through this initiative, our employees came together to create numerous service projects that made a positive impact on the community.
The Ghost Tour event of the Fox Playhouse which benefitted the North Platte Community Playhouse and raised over $3,200 for the organization. The tour provided a unique and memorable experience for all who attended. We are proud of our employees who put so much effort into creating this event and raising such a significant amount of money for the North Platte Community Playhouse.
"The Project Blank initiative is just one way we can encourage everyone to get involved and support organizations like the North Platte Community Playhouse. We are thrilled with the success of The Ghost Tour event and proud of our committee members for their hard work and dedication," said committee member Chantel Burch.
As an additional reward, Team “Boo Crew” received an extra $500 donated by NebraskaLand Bank as a prize for winning 3rd place in overall projects via employee vote. This money will also go towards supporting the North Platte Community Playhouse.
The 1st place, “Project Hope”, received $1,000 to support their mission of raising awareness about borderline homeless or homeless students near our branch location in Rock Springs Wyoming. “Totally Pawsome” claimed 2nd place and won $750 by organizing a breakfast burrito fundraiser to raise money for the North Platte Animal Shelter. Not only did they raise funds but they also put in the effort to clean out old rocks and replace them with new ones in the dog exercise area. Lastly, Project Bridge of Hope received a consolation prize of $250 to further their initiative and donated the funds to the Bridge of Hope to stock wish list items.
