
Pamela Jean Wever, 78, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Great Plains Health Hospital.
Pamela was born on October 6, 1944 in North Platte, NE the daughter of Kenneth H. and Dollie F. (Lamb) Schroeder. She grew up in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1963, and then attended the North Platte School of Commerce. She married Francis Edwin Wever Jr. on February 7, 1965 in North Platte and together they had two daughters. Pam was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked for a short time at the Fox and Paramount Theaters, Mutual of Omaha, Clinton Jewelry, Rite Style Optical, North Platte Public Schools, and as a waitress. She was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and participated in the Miriam circle. She was also a Girl Scout leader, member of the Eagles club, and Junior Oldtimers railroad group. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cross stitch, camping, exercising at the Rec Center (walking in the water), dancing, and traveling to bluegrass festivals. Pam loved people, never new a stranger, had many wonderful friends, and will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Francis; daughters, Jean (Randy) Hinton of Lincoln, and Janet (Richard) Solano of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Alex (Erica) Hinton, Ryan Hinton (Jennica Johnson), Hannah Burbach (Tim Shaver), Nathan Burbach, and Grace Burbach; brother, Richard (Betty) Schroeder of North Platte; sister, Sylvia Schroeder of North Platte; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Dollie Schroeder; in laws, Francis Sr. and Agnes Wever; sister, Deborah McElroy; and a son in law, David Burbach.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Meysing officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in North Platte Cemetery. The memorial book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 15th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Arthritis Foundation or First Lutheran Church.
