North Platte, Ne - The 5th annual Kevin Kennedy 5K and Fun Run was held in North Platte's Iron Horse Park on Saturday afternoon. Around 100 runners participated in the event, which is a fundraiser for Lincoln County CASA. The run is part of the Platte River Fitness Series. The 5K is actually a super 5K, just over the 3.1 miles in a 5K as runners make three laps around the Iron Horse Park Interstate Lake. After the 5K, families and younger children were able to make 1 lap (fun run) around the lake. The event is billed as a superhero run and many dressed up for additional prizes if they were dressed as a superhero.&nbsp;
