
Phyllis E. Cosler, 71, of Hershey, NE passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte.
She was born on March 10, 1951 in North Platte, NE the daughter of Frank and Eva (Callahan) Wever.
Phyllis attended school in North Platte and graduated with a degree as a dental hygienist assistant from Mid-Plains Community College. She was married to James Cosler on December 18, 1976 in North Platte and they were blessed with 6 children together. She worked for over 10 years as a cashier and customer service manager with Wal-Mart and also for 2 years at the Hershey Quick Stop. She loved spending time with her grandkids and listening to her turntable old country music records. She was a great cook who was well known for her famous potato salad. She loved her pet Bassett hounds, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Phyllis’s memory are her husband of 46 years, James; children, Lori (Mike) Aylward, Brian Cosler, Rex (Deb) Cosler, John (Amanda) Cosler, and Joshua (Misty) Cosler; grandchildren, Michael Hutto, Tiffany Hutto, Justin Cosler, Renee Cosler, Cianne Sloan, Kyleigh Cosler, Nathan Cosler, Holly Cosler, Izzy Cosler; great-grandchildren, Aspen Miles, Ryken Gifford, Lily Hutto, and Michael Hayne Hutto; brothers, Frank Marvin “Tommie” Wever and Gary Eugene Wever; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Lee Cosler; and sister, Donna Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Private burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery near Maxwell.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
