Jerry Williams, age 56, of Sargent died Friday, April 26, 2024, at his home in Sargent.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Wescott Baptist Church in Comstock with Pastor Don Schauda officiating. The burial will be in the West Union Cemetery near Sargent. Memorials are suggested to the family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow and on Wednesday 2 hours before the service at the church in Comstock. Jerry Anthony Williams was born on January 23, 1968, in Lima, Ohio to George and Peggy (Dickinson) Williams. As a child, the family lived in various places. On September 1, 1989, Jerry was married to Carla McCarty in Kearney, NE. After their marriage, they lived in Kearney for a few years before moving to Sargent, NE. Jerry worked construction while in Kearney for Wilke Construction and most recently has worked for Farritor’s Auto Parts in Broken Bow.
Jerry enjoyed going fishing, camping, doing carpentry work, and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife Carla of Sargent, his children: Radicese Williams of Loveland, CO, Samantha (Joseph) Myers of Sargent, Taylor Williams of Sargent, Natasha Williams of Grand Island, Jax Williams of Sargent, and Wyatt Williams of Sargent. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, his mother Peggy Dickinson of Ohio, a sister Renae Sheets of Ohio, and a brother Jeff Williams of Washington. He was preceded in death by his father.
