
Keith Douglas Nichelson, 64, of North Platte, passed away August 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Keith was born February 4, 1957 to Robert and Ida (Collins) Nichelson in North Platte. Keith attended North Platte Public Schools and graduated from North Platte High with the class of 1975.
Keith married Kari Smith on October 25, 1975 in North Platte. The couple made their home in North Platte where Keith worked for Clifford McNeal putting up hay, a mink farm for the Weldon family, then went to work at Shrake Auto Body where he worked for over 40 years. He loved fishing, camping, woodworking and was very family oriented. Keith loved his grandchildren and always hosted Sunday morning breakfast for the family.
Survivors include his wife; Kari of North Platte, 2 children; Nathan (Tammy) Nichelson, North Platte, Staci (Samuel Wederski) Nichelson, North Platte, son-in-law; Shanon (Kate) Koubek, Gothenburg, 7 grandchildren; Grace Koubek, Natalie Koubek, Lliam Koubek, Olivia Koubek, Shane Nichelson, Zoie Wederski, Seth Wederksi, siblings; Randy (Judy) Nichelson, Larry (Deanna) Nichelson, North Platte and Ross (Deirdre) Nichelson, Sutherland. Along with numerous other family members and friends.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Ida Nichelson, daughter; Tori Koubek and infant brother; David.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August, 21, 2021 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Alexander officiating. Book signing will be 9-5, Friday, August 20 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
