Boyd E. Poland, age 87, of Broken Bow, NE passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with DeWayne Hanes officiating. Inurnment will be in the Gates Cemetery at Gates, NE.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, NE. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. An online guest book may be signed at www.govierbrothers.com.
Boyd was born November 5, 1933 in Sargent, NE to Earl and Ruey (Gates) Poland. On September 15, 1957 Boyd was united in marriage to Evelyn Moore in Rushville, NE, to this union three sons were born.
Boyd and Evelyn have made their home in Broken Bow for 63 years. Boyd was a handy man and tree trimmer. He enjoyed fishing.
Boyd is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Broken Bow, NE: sons Lynn (Khrysty) Poland of Broken Bow, NE and Lowell Poland of St. Paul, NE; grandchildren Kabir (Nichole) Poland, Blake Poland, Averie Poland, Ahbrie Poland, Andrea Poland, and Addie Poland, two great-grandchildren Talon and Creed, and a sister Josephine Petersen of Alabama.
Boyd is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruey; a son Lonnie; brothers Lyle and Harley; sister Joyce; and a daughter-in-law, Karen.
