Joseph LeRoy Schall, Sr., age 84, of North Platte, Nebraska peacefully passed away at home on December 2, 2020.
Joseph was born on March 10, 1936 in Pontiac, Illinois to Edward and Jeanette (Short) Schall, the oldest of five kids. He lived and worked in Pontiac most of his life. Joseph quit school when he was 15 so he could work to help out the family. He had worked at the Pontiac Concrete Company for many years and later drove a truck.
Joseph married Donna Lee Coller on May 6, 1961. They had five children, four girls and a boy. Joseph was so happy when his son, Joe Jr, was born 'cause he never thought he'd have a boy since the first two were girls.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Cecila Lynn Bishop and Mary Schall Ramirez; a step-daughter, Freda Myers; his parents, Edward and Jeanette Schall; two brothers; two sisters; four grand-daughters; and his ex-wife, Pamela Bonnell.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Joseph, Jr. (Cynthia) of North Platte, Nebraska, Jimmy Schall of Hastings, Nebraska, Joey Schall of Alton, Illinois, Charlie (Melissa) Patient of Kearney, Nebraska, and Olando Schall of Cozad, Nebraska; his daughters, Kathy (Eugene) Myers of Oscelola, Nebraska, Rebecca Schall of Ainsworth, Nebraska, and Lola Schall of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; former wife, Donna Schall Guerrero; as well as 32 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren, and other family.
