
Garlan May Jacobson: August 31, 1925—June 29, 2021
Our beautiful, courageous and selfless mom is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born on August 31, 1925 to Miron and Maggie Magnuson in Lexington, Nebraska. She married Jack F. Jacobson on July 17, 1944 and lived in Lexington until 1960, then moved to Lakewood, Colorado where she lived until 2014. She then came to live with her daughter, Patti Jacobson, in Greeley, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Donald and
Loren Magnuson; her husband Jack; a baby, Daniel; and her daughter
Susan Jacobson.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Anna
Jacobson of Germontown, Tennessee; daughter, Patti Jacobson of Greeley, Colorado; granddaughter Julie Hight of Memphis, Tennessee and four great-granddaughters, Lucy, Violet, Hermione and Adelaide Hight of Memphis, Tennessee.
She most recently has been a member of P.E.O, an international women’s
organization, and Hearing Loss Association of America.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington,
Nebraska on July 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST and a memorial service will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church in Greeley, Colorado on August 6, 2021 at 10 a.m. MST.
