North Platte, Neb. -&nbsp;The North Platte Water Department ended chlorination of the water system on December 17th, 2024. Though we have ended chlorination, you may notice residual amounts of chlorine in the water for a few more days.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The need for future chlorination can’t be ruled out and could be necessary. The Water Dept. will issue public notice if chlorination is needed and or required by the State of NE.&nbsp;
