Mary Ruth Patterson (1949-2021)

     Mary Ruth (Bass) Patterson, age 71, passed away on February 7, 2021 at Gothenburg Hilltop Estates VA Hospital in Gothenburg, Nebraska after suffering a massive stroke in her home at Buffalo Bill High Rise in North Platte, NE on January 31, 2021.
     She was born on August 14, 1949 in Nowata, OK to Forrest and Bessie (Winters) Bass.  She resided in Oklahoma until shortly after the death of her father in 1990 when she and her mother moved to  North Platte, NE to be near her mother's sisters and family.  they were members of the Calvary Baptist Church.
     Mary later moved to Maxwell, Nebraska where she met and married Walter Patterson.  After she was widowed, she moved to the North Platte Hi-Rise with her little dog, Charley.  She was a very helpful and kindhearted person who made many friends there, including her best friend, Virginia.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Bessie Bass; a brother, Charley Bass; and her husband, Walter Patterson.
     Mary is survived by her brother, Mark Bass and his wife, Mary Lynn; nephews and many nieces whom loved her very much.
     Inurnment will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebraska.  
     Memorials are requested to the family to be designated at a later date.
