MaryLynn Kay Tingelhoff, 83, of Eustis, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, peacefully in her home.

Kay was born on June 9, 1940, to Perry and Anne Smith in Lexington, Nebraska, where she was raised. Kay attended high school in Bertrand, Nebraska.

On November 23, 1960, Kay married Lawrence H. Tingelhoff of Lexington, Nebraska, the love of her life. Together, they raised three children: Sam (Pam) Tingelhoff, Sue (Scott) Nielsen, and Joe (Vickie) Tingelhoff, on a small farm east of Lexington. Kay was the rural Avon lady for many years and spent evenings working at the Lexington Care Home. Together, Lawrence and Kay enjoyed going to their children's and later grandchildren's many activities. Later in life, they moved to Kearney, where Kay cared for her mother until her death. She continued caring for others while working for the Area Agency on Aging while in Kearney. She had a great passion for being a caregiver and helping those in need. After many happy years there, they moved to Eustis. Kay was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing board games with family, solitaire and puzzle books.

Survivors include her sons and daughter, brother Irl of Lexington; five grandchildren, Tiffany Tingelhoff of Lexington, Brittany (Ian) Trembly of Spring Hill, Kansas, Tyler (Bailey) Tingelhoff of Doniphan, Adelynn (Corbin) Blede of Brady, and Garhett Nielsen of Eustis; her three great-grandchildren, Frazier, Foster, and baby Tingelhoff. Kay will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and her beloved husband.
