NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-A North Platte man has been arrested on domestic violence and child abuse allegations.
According to police, at around 7:55 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of Spruce St.
Police said officers arrived and entered the residence when they heard a juvenile crying and screaming at the front door.
Police said once inside the home, officers could hear a male and female screaming. Officers made contact with a female victim who said Eric Jorgensen, 43, had shoved her to the ground and punched her multiple times.
Following further investigation, officers learned that three juveniles were in the home at the time of the incident, which one of them witnessed.
Jorgensen was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and child abuse. He was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
