Lavone V. (Lee) Fleming, 85, of North Platte, NE, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Centennial Park Retirement Village.
She was born January 14, 1936 in a farmhouse south of Grainton, NE to Willis and Beulah (Sloan) Lee.  In 1953, she graduated from Madrid High School, and on November 25, 1955 she married Les Fleming in Brule, NE.
Lavone taught school in Frontier County for 1 year, owned and operated L & L Service in Ogallala for 10 years, and was a salesperson with American Suzuki Corporation, Pamida and Safeway in Ogallala until her retirement.  She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and dancing at the VFW with Larry, Mary, Ken and Lisa.  She will be fondly remembered for her love of snowmen and for always wearing a lot of rings and earrings.
Surviving her are son, Larry Fleming (Mary); daughter, Lisa Neitzel (Ken); grandchildren, Justin Neitzel (Amanda), Mandi Neitzel, Corey Fleming (Kelly); great-grandchildren, Thayne Tucker, Caleb Neitzel, Logan Fleming, Maggie Neitzel, Emma Fleming, Colin Fleming and Mason Bryant; great-great-grandson, Kenai Tucker; sister-in-law, Marilyn Bell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Louise Fleming.
She was predeceased by her husband, Les; parents, Willis and Beulah; and brothers, Dave and Corky Lee.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Ned Cooper officiating.  A luncheon and reception will follow the service in Carpenter Memorial Chapel family room.  Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery near Maxwell.  Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed to the family at www.carpentermemorial.com
