Ronda Kay Wurm was born on January 29, 1945 in Wilsonville, Nebraska, the only child of Gerald Wayne and Alpha Lee (Bailey) Oliver. Ronda attended school in Red Willow County and graduated from McCook High School.
Ronda was united in marriage to the love of her life, George Wurm, in Denver, Colorado on June 2, 1966. Ronda and George made McCook, Nebraska home where they raised their four daughters and enjoyed 57 blessed years of marriage.
Ronda was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in McCook. She was an avid reader and above all will be remembered as a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
Ronda passed away on Monday morning, September 16, 2024 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. She was 79 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Alpha Lee Oliver; grandparents, Orrin and Loretta Bailey; husband, George Wurm; and grandsons, Shannon Pierce and Clayton Pierson.
Survivors include her four daughters: Patricia (Bob) Eilenberger of Donna, Texas, Pamela (Jim) Hungerford of Austin, Texas, Kimberly Pinkerton of McCook and Kelli (Scott) Carlson of North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren: Whitney (Isaac) Weyeneth, Chase (Mariah) Pierson, Kinsley (Corban) Gehle, Neal (Kelsey) Pierce, Terri (Logan) Mills, Taylor (Logan) Farrimond, Ciera Carlson, Kaylee Carlson and Ashlyn Carlson; great-grandchildren: Joshua, Micah, David, Hannah, Hadassah, Sophia, Emma, Maddyn, Declan, Avery, Teagan and Berkley.
Cremation was chosen and private family graveside services will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook.
