Richard "Dick" Quinn, 82, of McCook, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Community Hospital in McCook.  He was born in Oxford, Nebraska on November 7, 1939 to parents, Eugene R. Quinn and E. Maxine (Schroder) Quinn.
Dick completed his schooling at Oxford High School in 1957.  He enjoyed most aspects of school and made many friends and was active in football and basketball.  Dick was baptized in the Oxford Methodist Church where he also married Carla J. Clarine on August 30, 1959; high school sweethearts, they were married for 62 years.
Dick was employed at Winkler Market, Rainbo Bread, Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Company, and worked part-time at Marv’s Standard Station.  The people he met along the way were important as friends and he gained from all his jobs and the people involved.
Dick enjoyed fixing things and having knowledge about all of it.  Friends and family played an important part in his happiness.  Dick was a lifetime member of the McCook Elks Club and enjoyed McCook school sports and Nebraska Football.  He enjoyed seeing birds not only at his home, but wherever he went.  Family cats and a dog or two were always a fun part of the family as well.

Gregory Max, Gina Maureen, and Gary Eugene were born to Dick and Carla and they brought more family to love.  Besides all of his aunts and uncles and their families, he was close to his grandparents until their passing, George Sr. and Vesta Quinn and Raymond and Grace Schroder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Maxine Quinn; father and mother-in-law, Max and May (Loper) Clarine; grandparents, George Sr. and Vesta Quinn and Raymond and Grace Schroder; as well as brothers-in-law, Gerald Haffey and Larry Shaw.
