The North Platte Police Department participated in the National Highway Safety Traffic Safety Administration’s “Make it Click” high visibility traffic enforcement campaign which ran from November 26th through November 30th . One Hundred Seven traffic related contacts were made.
Of the 107 traffic contacts, thirty-seven citations were issued. Of the citations, two people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence, two people were charged with seatbelt violations, three people were arrested for Leaving the Scene of accidents, eleven people were charged with Driving Under Suspension/No operator’s license, three people were charged with Speeding, two people were charged with traffic signal violations and 22 people were charged with Registration/Insurance violations. Three people were arrested on fugitive warrants.
During the grant period, North Platte Police Department responded to 8 accidents, one involving minor injuries. From November 26th through November 30th, the North Platte Police Department responded to 297 calls for service.
