NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The City of North Platte has announced key dates as work continues on upgrades at the North Platte Rec Center.

According to a construction update, May 27 will be the final day the public can use the current Rec Center pool before demolition work begins. The entire Rec Center will then close from June 1 through June 14 for demolition of the existing dome structure and current pool.

City officials say the Rec Center and the new pool are scheduled to reopen on June 15. The turf area associated with the project is expected to open sometime in July.

Additional construction updates are available through the City of North Platte.
