Bonnie A. Harris, age 96 of McCook, Nebraska, formerly of Ogallala, Nebraska, died Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

Bonnie, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was born February 24, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, to Ralph and Velma (Skinner) Randall. In 1938, she and her family moved to a farm near Etna, Ohio, where she grew up. She graduated from Etna High School in 1948.

In 1949, Bonnie and her family moved to Ogallala, Nebraska. She worked at Max’s Dress Shop and later worked as a secretary in several offices and businesses.

On October 21, 1951, Bonnie married James M. Harris. Two children, Philip and Marcia, were born to this union. In 1970, the family moved to North Platte, Nebraska. Bonnie later returned to Ogallala in the early 1980s to care for her mother.

Bonnie had a beautiful soprano voice and loved playing the piano. She was also a talented artist who painted beautiful landscapes. She had a ready smile and a sparkle in her eye, and she was always happy to help wherever and whenever she could. Bonnie was especially close to her parents and siblings and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Philip Harris; grandsons Michael Harris and Casey Harris; great-grandson Samual Harris; her parents, Ralph and Velma Randall; and her brother, Ron Randall, and sister-in-law, Myrtle Randall.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Jensen (Patrick Kelley) of Beloit, Kansas; her daughter, Amy Gordon of Ogallala, Nebraska; her sister, Nancy Lehl of Ogallala, Nebraska; and her brother, Bob Randall (Josephine) of Ogallala, Nebraska.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Jensen of Independence, Missouri; James Jensen of Independence, Missouri; Robert Jensen (Brianna Guzman) of McCook, Nebraska; Patrick Harris (Natasha) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Eric Harris (Stephanie Lance Campbell) of Great Mills, Wisconsin; Gary Blythman of Live Oak, Texas; and Diane Comtelmi of Castle Rock, Colorado; as well as 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. MST at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ogallala, Nebraska. You can also join the memorial via zoom: 839 4427 4616 passcode: 691532.
