Bobbie Jean Daiss Tickle, 73, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2024, in Laguna Woods, CA.
Born in Imperial, NE, on July 10, 1951, Bobbie was the youngest of Obert and Margaret Daiss's four children. She grew up on the family farm south of Grant, NE, and attended school in Grant where she met the love of her life, Marv Tickle. After graduating from Grant High School in 1969, she attended Kearney State College before marrying Marv in 1970. They enjoyed the next 53 years together as husband and wife.
Bobbie was the full-time mother of two children, Anthony and Ryan. She and Marv raised their boys in Greeley, CO, and then North Platte, NE. Bobbie was endlessly supportive of her sons, who are eternally grateful for her love and encouragement through school, sports, and life.
Outside of her family, she worked in various positions at several institutions including, Rose Insurance Agency, McDonald Elementary School, and the North Platte First Baptist Church.
Bobbie loved playing the piano, singing in church choirs, gardening, swimming, golfing, and attending various sporting events. She also loved to travel and explore, orchestrating her family's annual vacations, including trips to Kansas City Royals baseball games and Lake McConaughy, and skiing in the Rocky Mountains. In 2007, she and Marv relocated from North Platte to Laguna Woods, CA, where they both worked as gate ambassadors for their community until their retirement in 2023. In recent years, Bobbie loved road trips back to Nebraska to visit family, strolling through the Sawdust Art Festival, and sipping glasses of wine at The Cliff restaurant in Laguna Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Obert and Margaret Daiss, and her brother, Bill Daiss.
Bobbie is survived by many family members who will cherish her memory: her husband, Marvin of Laguna Woods, CA; her sons, Anthony (Lisa) of Omaha, NE and Ryan (Ashley Larson) of Pomona, CA; her grandchildren, Lance Tickle and Lexy (Drake) Korb of Omaha, NE; and her great-grandchild, Westin Korb of Omaha; her sisters, Fran Friehauf (Noel Griffith) of Prescott, AZ and Karolyn Brown (Larry) of North Platte, NE; and sister-in-law Jeanie Daiss of Grant, NE.
Bobbie also loved her many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grant Fairview Cemetery. Bullock-Long Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
