The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will take up several policy, infrastructure, and personnel-related issues when it meets Monday morning at the Lincoln County Courthouse.

Among the more significant items is a discussion on proposals from BTS for a countywide phone system upgrade, a move that could impact internal communications across county departments. Commissioners are expected to review options and consider next steps as part of the ongoing effort to modernize county operations.

Land use will also be in focus with a scheduled public hearing on an application by Primivito and Renee Franco for the Franco Subdivision. The proposed subdivision is located at 1845 East Trail Road in an R-1 Rural Estates Residential District, and commissioners will consider whether to approve the request following public input.

Another topic expected to generate discussion is a proposed salary resolution that would set compensation levels for elected county officials for the 2027 through 2030 term. The resolution is part of the county’s long-term planning for elected offices and may draw comment from officials and department leadership.

In addition, commissioners will consider recognizing a Season of Service for December 2025 and January 2026 in Lincoln County through a formal proclamation. The board will also recognize county employees for years of service, including milestones of five and 15 years.

The meeting will also include routine business such as reviewing claims, treasurer’s receipts, and a fee report from the Lincoln County Sheriff, along with a public comment period.

Commissioners will briefly convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to consider tax-related matters, including certificates of correction and refund from the county assessor and motor vehicle tax exemption applications submitted by the county treasurer.

The board may enter closed session if necessary to discuss matters such as litigation, real estate, security, or job performance. The meeting will be streamed live on the county’s YouTube channel.
