Kansas man dead, 9-year-old hospitalized after head-on crash

SCOTT COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 4p.m. Thursday in Scott County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Honda CRV driven by  Devon R  Inguanza, 28, Shallow Water, Kansas, was northbound on Falcon Road three miles south of Kansas 96.

The driver attempted to pass a semi and visibility was low due to the dust. The Honda struck a 2017 Ram 2500 driven by Adrian Ruelas, 20, Scott City, head-on.

 Inguanza was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to  Prices and Sons Funeral Home. 

EMS transported Ruelas and a passenger in the Honda 9-year-old Bentley Chase Inguanza of Shallow Water to the Scott County Hospital.

Devon Inguanza was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
