A winter weather advisory is in effect for Lincoln County from 1 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service said.
The chance of rain begins Saturday afternoon, changing to snow or a wintry mix by 7 p.m. There is a 50 percent to 60 percent chance of snow through the night Saturday, with accumulation of up to 3 inches of snow possible.
Most of the snow accumulation is expected to stay to the south of Interstate 80, the NWS said.
There is a slight chance of snow persisting through the day Sunday, increasing to a 50 percent chance of snow through the day Monday.
The high Sunday is expected to reach the low-40s, dropping to a high in the mid-30s by Monday.
