The Football program at North Platte is headed in the right direction and people all around the state of Nebraska are taking notice.
This year the team hosted and won their first playoff game since 2004 and were ranked in the top 10 in power points throughout the season.
That success is due to players working hard and seeing that hard work pay off:
North Platte High School had 6 football players earn postseason recognition.
These Bulldogs were recognized in the Lincoln Journal Star.
Cody Wright - 2nd Team Super State RB
Honorable mention:
Camron Sutherland, Jaylan Ruffin, Vince Genatone, Caleb Kinkaid, Kolten Tilford.
Omaha World Herald:
These same players, as well as Cody Wright, were also recognized as All State HM in the Omaha World Herald.
Coach Rice chimed in on these honors:
Not only are these 6 players deserving of this honor, but they are all multi-sport athletes that have made a strong commitment to our year round strength and conditioning program.
I am proud of these guys and our entire team for the continued work in improving our football program.
