A rail car derailment was reported late Tuesday afternoon at Bailey Yard in North Platte.
According to a Union Pacific representative, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. while a train was being built inside the yard. Officials say a single rail car derailed during the process.
No injuries were reported, and Union Pacific confirmed there was no spill associated with the derailment.
Crews remain on site as cleanup efforts continue.
