A North Platte man was arrested after he was accused of numerous offenses relating to a domestic situation.

According to North Platte Police, on December 18, officers were dispatched to the 2800 Block of West 5th Street for a disturbance.

Police say upon arrival, officers made contact with the alleged victim who reported that 24-year-old Jordan Bohman had just been at the residence causing problems and that he damaged property in the home.

Police say officers discovered that Bohman and the victim had gotten into an argument when Bohman entered the residence uninvited. It was reported that the victim was outside while Bohman was inside, and when the victim re-entered the home, they discovered several items of personal property had been damaged.

According to police, it was learned that Bohman departed the scene once he learned police had been contacted.

During this investigation, police say it was learned that Bohman had assaulted the victim a day prior. It was reported that the victim and Bohman again had an argument when Bohman pulled the victim out of a vehicle and inside the house. Once inside the house, Bohman shoved the victim against the washing machine which caused pain. It was then reported that Bohman placed his arm around the victim's neck and began to apply pressure. This caused the victim to have difficulty breathing and occurred several times.

Officers were able to corroborate the events and probable cause was established to arrest Bohman but officers were unable to locate him at this time.

On December 20, Officers again made contact with the victim. The victim indicated that Bohman continues to call despite not wanting to speak with him. Officers discovered that Bohman had called the victim over 100 times between December 18-19 and continued to make phone calls after that.

Police say on December 28, contact was made with Bohman and he was placed under arrest without incident.

Bohman was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center on suspicion of 3rd-degree domestic assault, strangulation, criminal mischief, 2nd-degree false imprisonment, and stalking.
