The North Platte Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, with key district leadership matters on the agenda. The board is expected to consider accepting the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Todd Rhodes, whose contract runs through 2027. No reason for the proposed resignation has been publicly listed.
Rhodes’ contract for the 2025–26 school year includes annual compensation of more than $240,000, with total costs to the district nearing $292,000 when benefits and employer contributions are included.
In addition to the resignation, the board will discuss electronic records access and Google Vault use under district records-management Policy 3023, as well as investigation, consideration, and possible action regarding alleged staff misconduct. Details of the allegations have not been released.
Members of the public are invited to comment during the designated period. The meeting will also include standard items such as roll call, agenda approval, and posting of the Open Meetings Act.
