Those appeared on Twitter Thursday morning. The NPHS Softball squad (9-4), who just last year found themselves in the State Championship game finally broke back into the top 10 rankings in the state.
This season started off slow for the team which graduated 7 (yes 7!!!) seniors from last year's squad but hard work and playing "Bulldog Softball" has brought out some encouraging results.
Some highlights from this year include most recently beating a very good Hastings St. Cecila team 3-1, taking the #1 team in the nation (Omaha Skutt) to 9 innings, and are currently on a four-game winning streak.
They continue their season with two straight doubleheaders at home. First against Lincoln SE on the 9th and then against Grand Island NW on the 13th.
