The Mid-Plains Community College Board of Governors will meet Wednesday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. on the McCook Community College East Campus.

The meeting will begin with roll call, followed by an open forum for comments from students, faculty, staff, and the public. Board members will not take immediate action on items raised during the forum unless they are already listed on the agenda.

The board will recognize students earning honors through the Phi Theta Kappa All-Nebraska Team and FBLA Collegiate.

Consent items include approval of minutes from the March 18 work session and regular meeting, along with the March financial report.

Among action items required by law, the board will consider approval of March bills totaling more than $1.2 million. Board members who received reimbursements during the month will abstain from voting on those specific items.

The board will also review several academic programs, including Emergency Medical Services, Licensed Practical Nursing, and Associate Degree Nursing, and make recommendations on each.

Additional items on the agenda include consideration of a bid to purchase digital microscopes and accessories for the North Platte biology department, as well as approval of a three-year contract for helpdesk software.

Board members will also consider approving a bid from All Makes for more than $83,000 to furnish the first floor of McMillen Hall on the McCook campus as part of an ongoing remodel project.

Another major item includes a resolution authorizing the issuance of student housing revenue bonds, which would support campus housing projects through private placement or underwriting.
