Memorial Services will be on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Broken Bow, NE with Father Jim Hunt officiating. A Rosary will be held on Monday, August 26th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date. A time to greet the family will be Sunday, August 25th from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Miller, passed away in Broken Bow, Nebraska on August 20, 2024, at the age of 72. 

Larry was born on May 4, 1952, in Broken Bow, Larry dedicated his life to serving his community as a life-long resident. He worked as a foreman at the Broken Bow power plant for 42 years, where his innovative designs and contributions to the plant's hardware and software continue to ensure the smooth operation of electricity and water services for the town. Larry was also a devoted volunteer, serving 25 years as a firefighter and 15 years as an Emergency Medical Technician, always ready to lend a hand in times of need. Larry was deeply committed to fairness and justice, evident in his role as the local Union representative with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), where he tirelessly advocated for the rights of his fellow workers. A member of the Knights of Columbus and a former city council member, Larry won his council seat through a write-in campaign, a testament to the trust and respect he garnered from his community. Larry was very active in the Catholic Church, where his beautiful singing voice was well-known and loved by all. 

A loving husband of 46 years, he is survived by his beloved wife, Adele, and their five children: Melissa (Tim), Marcus (Tracy), Andrea (Rob), Kristen (Alex), and Joe (Matt). Larry’s legacy of service, faith, and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
