OGALLALA, Neb. — Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack is preparing to bring live table games to western Nebraska, with a launch planned just ahead of its annual quarter horse racing weekend in July.

Casino officials announced that live Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold'em tables are expected to open on Thursday, July 2, adding to the property's existing electronic table game offerings.

"We're excited to bring live table games to western Nebraska," said Thomas Frank, general manager of Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack. "The live table games will add a new level of energy to the casino floor and will arrive just in time for this year's race weekend."

The casino is currently conducting dealer school as it prepares for the launch. Once operational, live table games will be available from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Thursday through Sunday.

The debut comes ahead of the casino's 2026 American Quarter Horse race weekend, scheduled for Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11. The two-day event will feature eight races, with four races each day beginning at 3 p.m. Mountain Time.

Located just off Interstate 80 in Ogallala, Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack offers more than 300 slot machines, electronic table games, an on-site sportsbook, simulcast wagering, weekend entertainment and a 5/8-mile quarter horse track.

Officials say employment opportunities remain available as the casino expands operations. More information about careers, upcoming events and race schedules can be found on the casino's website.
