Theresa Suziann Rookstool Bivens, 58 of Kearney passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at St. John’s Good Samaritan Home in Kearney with her family by her side. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE.

Theresa was born November 24, 1963 in North Platte, NE to Larry and Creta Rookstool. In 1980, Theresa was united in marriage to Jim Jording and to this union 3 children were born: Erica, Paige and Logan. She later gave birth to another daughter, Adrian from a later relationship. Theresa then married Bill Bivens in 1999. She was a free spirit. Theresa loved Nebraska Football, her dog Harley and collecting Betty Boop items. She also enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband Bill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bivens; father, Larry Rookstool and two half brothers; two nieces and one nephew.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Creta Waltemath; children, Erica (Dude) Fester, Paige Jording, Logan Jording and Adrian (Mike) Cobb; brothers, Theron (Wilda) Rookstool and Travis (Angie) Rookstool; 8 grandchildren and two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
