North Platte Police Department
North Platte, Neb. - From April 1st, 2024, through April 8th, 2024, The North Platte Police Department, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) participated in the “U Drive U Text U Pay” law enforcement mobilization.
During the mobilization, 116 traffic stops were conducted. Forty citations were issued to include; 14 citations for speeding, 7 for traffic control device violations, two for fictitious plates, and two for possession of marijuana.
Two people were arrested for DUI. Two people were arrested on state warrants. Two felony drug arrests were made, and 2.5 grams of methamphetamine were seized.
